Watching my children grow, I was inspired to create this "Mom's Garden" wind chime. The custom watering can topper is hand cut from ceramic stoneware clay, and hand-embossed with the sentiment "Mom's Garden" (or a custom phrase, if you'd like). I will glaze the topper with 3 coats of Pale Aqua glaze (or your choice of color), and then fire it to over 2100 degrees in my kiln. The flowers vary in size from 2.75 to 4 inches in width, and will be hand cut and embossed with your children's or grandchildren's names, and glazed in a variety bright and cheerful glazes. If you have less than 6 names, I will fill the chime out with extra flowers to make a full garden.

All chimes are strung using weather-safe nylon braid, and hang from weather safe nylon cording (the kind fishing nets are made from). Overall length of chime depends on the number of names added. Chime shown has 6 flowers and measures about 18 inches in length from the top of the watering can to the bottom of the lowest flower.

The fourth photo is the colors that are in the sample chime. I'm always happy to take custom color requests, and I have dozens of glazes on hand. If you don't ask for a custom color, you will receive the Light Aqua chime with a variety of flowers in the colors shown. Due to the absolutely custom nature of this chime, please allow 2 to 4 weeks for completion. Due to the nature of my work, I can offer refunds only for damaged or lost items. If your item becomes lost or damaged in shipping, please help me to help you receive your refund for insured items by providing me with photos of the damage (cell phone photos are acceptable). My ceramic work is hand-built, which means that no pottery wheel is used. I shape and form the clay using simple tools and my hands. The leaf shapes are created using the impressions of real leaves. The leaves burn off in the firing process, leaving behind their unique images. No two leaf items will ever be the same.

I also use vintage commercial slip-casting molds to create new versions of vintage items, and as a base to create some one-of-a-kind vessels and candle lanterns.
